(and how not to design blue)
Quick glossary:
Leather = The dog's skin, specifically nose, lips, eye rims, pads, etc

"dd"Blue is a recessive gene that dilutes black pigment like Liver. It ranges from a dark off black to a pale silver that is what most people think of for blue dogs.
Remember, black will display normally if the dog has Dd or DD!

Blue is not limited to this range, however!
Be careful not to go too light and/or red, you'll verge on Isabella (and sometimes liver).
